I got a parking ticket by the beach, the website won't let me pay because of system maintenance for the past week, and nobody picks up the phone. I left 3 voice messages and nobody called back.
The lady that I spoke to on the phone today was really nice and made me feel a lot better about my ticket
What a horrible, horrible bunch of people. I received a parking ticket with the wrong color of car, wrong time, wrong street, and wrong possible type of ticket from Peo Parliak. After sending in A LOT of pictures as evidence, was still told I have to come to court! I am disabled and live an hour and a half away! I wish I could give 0 stars. I will have to pay and find a different vacation town. Just terrible!
People here are extremely rude and dont want to help. I came here for a small vacation with (black) friends and we were dancing on the beach. We were told that we cannot dance and we have to put a cover up on, on the beach! Needless to say, i have (had) a clean criminal record, and the police ARRESTED me for literally dancing OFF of the beach, walking to the car. We werent even on the beach anymore. They had the audacity to put on the fine that I was being violent lol. For anyone looking to go here, you will stand out if you're black, and if you're black, you know how uncomfortable that is. I spoke to many people about my experience and almost all of their responses were "duh", you cant go to a small hick town like that and expect to not get in some sort of trouble. I had to pay a fine of $400 !!! (fourth of july weekend, they were trying to get money for the town none the less) Now I have a signature from the money order that I sent, and they are saying that they didnt receive my money order! They said the only thing I can do now is pay another $400! I mean is the town just broke or are they greedy? Seems like both...
