Nice spot at the end of the boardwalk. Indoor and outdoor seating. Live entertainment and a good food selection. Near good parking and public restrooms. No table service for indoor tables and outdoor seating seemed reserved for groups and events.

Great opportunity to relax at the beach and soak in the sun. Parking is $20 and beach access is $10 for adults and $3 for children under the age of twelve. The beach is nice with lots of space and volleyball courts. The Ocean can sometimes be nice but also violent. I went in the water on June 29 and it was very cold and the waves were about 6-7 feet. On the contrary, I went on June 26 and it was warm with waves about 4-5 feet. But, there is two bad things I have to mention. The water at low tide is absolutely disgusting with seaweed and a bunch of other underwater plants. The other inconvenience is food service at the main restaurant. The salads are horrible and if your a burger kind of person your steak will be charred or burned. The raps are good though. However, you have to pick up your food when you buzzer activates. If you are not there within five minutes, they will take the food back and give it to someone else in their order. In all, I think it is a great way to spend the day with your family and really enjoy the boardwalk and the ocean breeze.

Compared to Belmar, I did not enjoy this beach. Paid to get in, water was dirty. The sand here is much more rocky with large grains. Lots of seaweed when I went. It was just not the same experience, not as nice. The kids enjoyed themselves though. My God that rocky sand was very difficult to remove from our afro textured hair!

Great atmosphere. LOVE walking the boardwalk. Bath House is clean (for a public bath house) and well attended. Aquarium is really nice. Wish the sit-down restaurant was open later (turns in to a nightclub before 9). Quick serve food is on the expensive side, but made to order & tastes good.

At the far end of Jenkinson Boardwalk, over by the jetty, there's a tiki bar. It's a bit less known than on the main drag of the boardwalk, there's no cover charge, beach access, volleyball nets with the occasional hot man or woman playing a game(whatever your persuasion would be), decently priced drinks, food and ice cream available. Definitely more of a mellow tone here with a little light music by a live band, the chairs out on the sand, and some tables situated at the bottom of the main bar deck. Highly recommend sitting down by the palm trees. They may not be native to NJ, but they certainly fit right in on the beach scene. When you're finished with your drink, stroll the beach or take a walk on the jetty. Relaxing day=made :)
